Hours of Operation & Fees
All services are available during all hours at the North County Recycling/Transfer Station, the Valley Recycling/Transfer Station and the Waste to Energy Facility/Recycling Center:
All facilities are open seven days a week,
7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for residential customers, year-round.
(Closed on major holidays.)

Recyclables Drop Off - FREE

Household Hazardous Waste Disposal - FREE

Trash Disposal Rates- a minimum charge of $15 for first 300 pounds. $98 per ton at Waste to Energy Facility; $103 per ton at transfer stations.

Self-hauled Clean Green/Yard Waste Debris - a minimum charge of $5 for 240 pounds, and a charge of 44 cents for each additional
20 pounds ($44 per ton).
These fees are in effect year-round at:
- Waste to Energy facility and Recycling Center
- North County Transfer Station and Recycling Center
- Valley Transfer Station and Recycling Center
Secure Your Load .... Or it Will Cost You!

Loads being delivered to disposal sites must be covered with a tarp or secured with a rope or other means to prevent spillage. This applies to all 3 transfer stations. As of January 1, 2006, if your load is not secured/covered, a $5 fee will be charged. Notification of this fee will be made prior to unloading your vehicle and added to your disposal charge.
Unsecured load fees are dictated by RCW 70.93.097 and City of Spokane SMC 13.02.0570
