Waste to Energy Plant Stack Tests

Utilities that emit gases and particles into the air must comply with EPA emissions standards and standards for emissions testing. The Waste to Energy Facility is regulated by the EPA, the Spokane Air Pollution Control Authority (SCAPCA), the Department of Ecology and the Spokane County Health Department. These regulatory agencies require continuous emission monitoring, monthly reporting and annual stack testing.

Annual stack testing is required by the Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), Title V Operating and Notice of Construction (NOC) Permits for the Waste to Energy Facility. The most recent stack testing results are available below. For stack testing results from previous years, please contact the Spokane Regional Solid Waste System at 509-625-6580.
